Itinerary
Day 1:
Transfer to Murchison fallsEarly in the morning after your breakfast, you will be transferred to Murchison falls national park with a scenic drive to the park and lunch en route. You will have en route visit to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Reach Murchison falls national park with a visit to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crushing through a narrow gorge. Dinner and overnight stay at Pakuba Lodge (Deluxe)/Red Chilli Hotel (Budget)/ Paraa Safari Lodge (Luxury).
Day 2:
Game viewing and Boat cruise and transfer to HoimaWake up early for breakfast and embark on a game drive in search for early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts. Expect to view lots of wildlife such as; Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, African Lion, Leopard, Jackson’s hartebeest, Uganda Kob, lions, waterbuck, buffalos among others moving through the lovely savanna grasses. Return to the lodge for lunch and later head for a launch trip on the river Nile rewarding hippos, crocodiles and over 20 unique bird species such as the goliath herons, Egyptian geese, and many more. On return, you will drive to Hoima reaching in the evening for dinner and overnight at Kontiki Hotel/ Hoima Cultural Lodge.
Day 3:
Transfer to Kibale national parkAfter a delicious breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale Forest is a home to 13 primate species. The journey goes through beautiful Albertine Rift, county side homesteads, and banana plantations among others. Reach fort portal late in the evening and Check in for dinner and overnight stay at (Deluxe) /Kyaninga lodge (Luxury)/Rwenzori View Guest House (Budget).
Day 4:
Chimp habituation ExperienceAfter an early morning breakfast, you will proceed to Kanyanchu to start the Chimpanzee habituation experience where you will observe the time-to-time behavior of the chimpanzees returning in the evening. This will give you ample time to take enough photos for the primates, which will apart from the chimps include Colobus Monkeys, Baboons, and vervet monkeys among others. There are 13 primate species in Kibale Forest. Dinner and overnight at (Day 3)
Day 5:
Kibale-Queen Elizabeth NPAfter your breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP with a wide game view en route for hours like elephants, buffaloes, leopard, hyena, and leopard. Have lunch which will be followed by a tremendous boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for scenic views of the Lake Edward and George, Hippos, yawning crocodiles, several water birds like cormorants and pied kingfisher among the others. Dinner and overnight at Enganzi lodge (Deluxe)/Mweya Safari Lodge / Katara Lodge (Luxury).
Day 6:
Game drive and community walk/forest nature walkYou will wake up for a cup tea and there after meet your guide for an early morning game drive through in the Kasenyi sector. In the afternoon, go for forest nature walk in Imaramagambo forest, where you will see a variety of bird species, and visit the bat cave. You may as well visit the Salt mining area on Lake Katwe of the Kasenyi fishing village. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7:
Game drive and transfer to Bwindi NPIn the morning after a relaxed breakfast, set off for game Drives in Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions. Depending on the day’s weather, you may be lucky to find them near or enter deep in search of them if them. Proceed to Bwindi NP reaching in the evening for Dinner and Overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Ruhiija Lodge/Gorilla Mist camp.
Day 8:
Gorilla trekking adventure and transfer to Mgahinga NPYou will head to the park headquarters after your breakfast with packed lunch to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. On return, transfer to Mgahinga NP reaching in the evening for Dinner and overnight at Travelers Hotel/Gahinga Lodge.
Day 9:
Golden monkey tracking and cultural walkAfter breakfast, you will go for golden monkey tracking adventure immediately after being briefed by the park rangers. This will also reward you other primates in Mgahinga NP. In the evening, you may go for cultural walk to the Batwa community.
Day 10:
Transfer to Lake Mburo and boat cruiseIn the morning, you will set off to Lake Mburo reaching early for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, which will reward you with view of a variety of birds as well as animals. Dinner and overnight at Mburo Safari Lodge/Mihingo Lodge.
Day 11:
Transfer back to Kampala and departure if on scheduleAfter breakfast, go for guided nature walk and later set off to Kampala with en route game drive, and stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator -where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once, arriving in the Kampala in the evening.
Day 12:
City tour and DepartureIn the morning, you will be picked from your hotel and go a city tour in Kampala, visit Kasubi Tombs, Bahai temp, Nakasero fruits Market, National museum, Namugongo shrines, Ghadaffi mosque among others. In the evening, proceed to Entebbe airport at check for your departure flight.
