My mom and I had a wonderful experience in Uganda with Davis. Our first time visiting the county and we were unsure of what type of excursion we should do with our 3 days of free time, prior to a wedding that we were in the country for. Davis laid out several options for us and was very flexible in helping us with our needs as far as transportation / lodging / food /etc, as well as meeting us at our budget. We ended up visiting Queen Elizabeth National park for a game drive and it did not disappoint - we saw many animals (elephants, lions, hippos, monkey, etc).

If I were to visit the country again I would book through Davis again and allow more time (1 week+) to see more parks or do gorilla trekking.

• GHS---14 DAYS-SAFARI WESTERN UGANDA

A friend and I booked a safari with Gorillas Homeland Safaris for a full week of non-stop touring. Davis was our guide, and I wholeheartedly recommend him! Each location and stop was breathtaking! We visited the Rhino sanctuary, toured by boat, the Nile (hippos and crocs), visited the Chimpanzee forest, and hung out on the savannah watching elephants, giraffes, warthogs, and water buffalo (to name just a few of the many large herds of animals). We also took a small boat ride to see an endangered shoebill nestled in the papyrus-filled lake. Our trip ended with a very up close and unbelievably long encounter with a Silverback family:) Along the way, Davis allowed us to meet /visit with a small community, where we had the privilege to engage directly with women, children, and business leaders. We loved our trip, loved Davis, and came away with a love for Uganda. Note:: Never saw a mosquito, or tsetse fly, but we were well prepared:-) Safe, very hospitable, and affordable. Bring cash for tips, smaller businesses, and side trips. Much thanks to Davis for allowing us to embrace his country and culture. Uganda rocks!!

• 10 Days Best Western Uganda Midrange Safari

This was a bucket list trip for me to see the Silverback Gorillas. Davis and Luke delivered. They were both kind and very patient driving 9 woman around for 8 days. The Chimpanzee Guest House was beautiful! I loved it. The private cabins with porches and magnificent views was breathtaking. The staff and food was outstanding! I could have stayed there for the whole trip. It was quite and relaxing. I would definitely stay there again.

"We spent a week in Uganda for an African Safari. It was one of the best trips ever! We had a guided daily safari tour by Davis that took us through the entire country. We had multiple close, but safe envounters with baboons, wart hogs, elephants, rhinos, bucks, chimpanzees, water buffalo, and giraffes. We also saw the prehistoric, but endangered shoebill (and one offspring)! We took a boat tour to visit the Nile, viewing a beautiful waterfall, along with crocs, hippos, and numerous birds. Davis also afforded us an opportunity to meet one afternoon with a few community leaders at one of the villages near our lodge. Soooo many highlights of our trip! Ultimately, we came for the gorillas, and the end of our safari had us trekking up a mountain to locate a silverback family. We found them and wow, just WOW. It was incredible! Uganda, Africa is home to so many beautiful animals, and we met so many people working hard to preserve their homes /habitats. This tour highlighted it all. Going to Africa?? Choose Davis - he will not disappoint. It really was the trip of a lifetime!"

Great Birding in Uganda
"In July 2022, we had a great trip in Uganda with Gorillas Homeland Safaris (GHS). After two years of covid pandemia we were trilled to finally going to Uganda. Four of us visited the country for birding with Alex, a wonderful birding guide working with GHS. After discussion with Davis, we agreed for a 28-day tour. Overall we saw 485 species of birds, a success! Thanks to our great Alex who always made his best to find the bird missing on our list. It was a delight to visit national parks for wildlife. The face to face with gorillas and chimpanzees has been an unforgettable experience! Accommodations and food were great.
